Jeff became Fire Chief in November of 2015. He has 23 years in the Fire Service. Before coming to Morgan County, he worked at Walton County Fire Rescue where he moved through the ranks to Battalion Chief before taking an early retirement in 2014. Jeff also worked fulltime with the City of Monroe Fire Department where he was a Senior Firefighter. Jeff holds numerous degrees and both state and national certifications. Jeff received his AAS in Fire Science from West Georgia Technical College in 2008. He proceed with his educational advancement with Columbia Southern University with Bachelors of Science in Fire Administration in 2012, and a Masters in Emergency Services Management in 2015. Jeff has also maintained his Georgia Certified Emergency Manager since 2004. Jeff is currently pursuing dual Masters from American Military University in Emergency & Disaster Management and Homeland Security. He is also currently working on his Certified Chief Officer designation as joining the Executive Fire Officers Program through the National Fire Academy. Jeff is a licensed State of GA EMT-I. He is a certified state and national FF 2, Haz-mat Technician, Fire Officer 2, Instructor 3, Inspector 1, & Evaluator.
Cindy Williams, Administrative Assistant
Cindy began as volunteer with Morgan County Fire Rescue since 2000 where she has progressed upwards and now currently holds the rank of Assistant Station Chief. She has recently taken the position as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief as of January 2016. Cindy comes from a background with Volvo as an Executive Assistant before retiring last year Cindy and her husband are both volunteer members of Station 7, where they continue to be very active and support the station as well as the department.
