Advance Voting and Absentee By Mail
For primaries and elections: advance voting begins the 4th Monday prior to the date of the election. Advance voting is held in our office at 434 Hancock Street, Madison, GA during regular office hours. Saturday voting hours are required on the second Saturday before Election Day, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., if there are federal or state candidates on the ballot. Saturday hours do not apply to runoffs.

If you are a registered voter and need an absentee ballot sent to you, please click on the link above to fill out an application and send it to our office, and a ballot will be mailed to you. Ballot requests can be accepted up to 180 days prior to any election.
Absentee ballot applications are accepted until 4:00p.m. on the Friday immediately preceding the Election Day. No absentee ballots will be issued after the Friday immediately preceding the Election Day.
Absentee ballots must be received by our office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

To find out if the Board of Elections and Registration has received your application for an absentee ballot, when your ballot was mailed, or if your voted ballot has been returned, view the Georgia Secretary of State website.
