Philip von Hanstein was born in Germany, his parents bought a farm in Morgan County in 1976. He has a BBA from Georgia College and State University. He has served this community in many ways, including 13 years as a Certified Peace Officer and has been on numerous boards, such as the Farm Bureau and Conservancy Boards.
